Smith

Smith is a multipurpose cart designed to accommodate the need for storing objects and filing documents in both home and work environments. Its container can hold books, DVDs, or other items. By hanging it over the table, Smith can, for example, convert the dining room into a temporary work area. Its design also allows it to be used as a coffee table or stool; furthermore, its shape allows it to be stacked and positioned elsewhere. In 2011, Smith was awarded the Compasso d'Oro, Italy's most prestigious product award.

It is a container, bookcase, support surface, seat, it is transportable with convenient wheels and can be used alone, on the floor or hung on a table, or by combining several elements together by stacking them.
It represents a mobile extension of one's territoriality that can contain anything (from books to computers, from food to personal objects), it is a private space in which to organize one's world of objects and with which to experience the diversity of everyday life.
