Without a rigid structure, the wildly popular Sacco was born colorful, lightweight, and unconventional. It has marked the history of Italian design worldwide, becoming the symbol of the unstructured, self-adjusting chair that responds to the desire for freer postures.
Produced by Zanotta, it was designed by Gatti, Paolini, and Teodoro. Their initial idea was a bean bag filled with small semi-expanded polystyrene pellets, lightweight and portable, and easily adaptable to any sitting position.
