Description

A collection originally created by Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld in Ahrend in the 1950s and now relaunched by Hay. It was considered a triumph in its innovative use of sheet steel when it was first launched in the 1950s, pioneering a new direction in the use of organically shaped products. Today, both as a collection and as individual pieces, it is notable for its economical use of materials, its lightness to move, and its simplistic construction. Its functional excellence and aesthetic lightness have proven themselves in real-world settings for generations. The Result chair features a thin sheet steel base with an oak seat and backrest, which maintains maximum flexibility, lightness, and strength while maintaining a minimalist design. A very popular chair in schools in the 1950s, its lightweight, stackable design and durable quality make it suitable for use in educational institutions and corporate environments. Available in various wood finishes and base colors.

Our Archive Sale selection

The Archive Sale collection stems from the desire to give a new life to furnishings and accessories that already have a story to tell. The products that make up this selection come directly from our store displays, photo shoots, discontinued limited editions, or our historical archives.

Precisely because of their nature as display pieces, some items may not come in their original packaging or may show slight signs of their initial use. Our priority remains maximum transparency: if present, any aesthetic details are described within the individual product page.

Each item included in this section is the result of careful curation, designed to offer the opportunity to collect best-sellers and design icons at an exclusive value.

Please note that, as these are special display or discontinued items, returns are not possible for products in this collection.
