The Pine coffee tables capture a pleasant organic quality from the wood's characteristic grain. This often overlooked wood species finds new life in this playful form. Designer Simon Legald explains: "In furniture design, pine has long been a forgotten wood variety. It's a shame, because pine is certainly not devoid of qualities. For me, the wood's fiery growth rings and characteristic aroma embody Nordic soul and warmth. Last but not least, it makes perfect sense to use a material that can be found locally in large quantities." With its voluminous, octagonal base, Pine can add impact and vigor to any room. Its heavy body is delicately contrasted with the narrow, rounded frame of the tabletop, adding a visual lightness to the solid wooden design. The wood is presented in its natural form, or with a colored wood stain, allowing the grain to shine through.
