The Hyg chair is a hybrid between a chair and an armchair. Its shell was designed to adapt to the body, allowing freedom of movement. As the name suggests, Hyg draws inspiration from the Danish hygge, the life philosophy that has conquered the world with its idea of well-being. Hygge, which literally means intimacy, indicates an attitude toward life made up of small things. Daily pleasures to be shared with loved ones, surrounded by a welcoming atmosphere. These are atmospheres and sensations that Simon Legald has sought to translate into the design of the Hyg collection.
