Meter is a designer lamp that enhances everyday settings. Danish design duo Maria Bruun and Anne Dorthe Vester are the creators of Meter. Their practice encompasses objects that straddle the divide between architecture, design, and fine art. They often focus on abstractions, such as functional idioms and hybrids, and on the aesthetics of materials and form in relation to their surrounding spaces, all created with intense attention to artisanal detail. Meter is available in two sizes: one meter and half a meter. The column base is made of unpainted aluminum, and the shade is made of a wire structure covered in hand-crafted cocoon material. The light source is leveled to the base, creating a soft, warm glow.
