In 2007 Stefano Giovannoni used air moulding to create a chair made from a single block of polypropylene.
The First's design is simple. Giovannoni uses a complete hollowing process: the hollowing out of the volumes applies not only to the tubes but also to the entire structure (backrest, seat).
All the First Chair's volumes are emptied of their materials. The result is a chair that is both lightweight and sturdy, at an affordable price.
