The seats are made from recycled industrial plastic waste from GROHE and coffee bean husks from BKI. The technique was developed in collaboration with the Danish Technological Institute with the support of the University of Copenhagen. The waste materials are mixed into a unique compound suitable for pressure molding, a method designed to reuse companies' resources more efficiently. Earth Stool embodies classic Scandinavian design with steel frames that make the bar stool elegant and timeless. The revolutionary new production technique allows Mater to reuse waste materials and transform them into useful and unique design solutions. Created to support circular design thinking and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): "Responsible Consumption and Production" (SDG 12), "Climate Action" (SDG 13), and "Partnership for the Goals" (SDG 17).
