The metal wire of the frame outlines the stool's profile, while the straw rope, following the pompom-making technique, creates the seat which, when seen from above, looks like a donut.
The metal structure is easily traceable to the stylistic research of designer Alessandra Baldereshi: the creation of furnishings by drawing 3D lines in space.
The straw seat takes up the traditions of the straw weavers.
After training in art, Alessandra Baldereshi earned a Master's degree in Industrial Design from Domus Academy in 2000. In 2001, she received a residency in Japan, where she developed ceramic tableware projects with companies in the Gifu district. Upon returning to Italy, she began collaborating with various companies, ranging from costume jewelry and fashion to lighting and furniture. In 2010, she was named one of the ten best designers of the new generation by Ad Spain. Alessandra's studio currently works with several design brands.
