A shelf with a rough industrial look, this is how the Jet Shelf presents itself as an alternative to the usual wall shelf.
The Jet shelf is the result of the designer Simon Legald through a play on surfaces and production. The design takes inspiration from the aerodynamic construction of a fighter jet thus creating a lightweight aluminum shelf that has a spacious design and a clear industrial silhouette. The architectural aspect of the Jet shelf is given by an asymmetry between a horizontal and a vertical surface and is presented as an attractive platform for storage and display. The profile has small incisions, which create the attractive structure of the grooved surface. The furrows also ensure that objects placed on the shelf are less likely to slip.
