Anna von Schewen & Björn Dahlström

Unveiled at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in February 2023, the Pira G2 is an evolution of the Pira shelving unit originally designed by Swedish architect Olle Pira for the H55 exhibition in 1955. While honouring the essence of the original design, von Schewen and Dahlström have imbued the Pira G2 with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic.

Deliberately avoiding retro aesthetics, they have embraced the original design concept and incorporated modern materials while subtly paying tribute to the 1950s . Central to the Pira G2's structure is its pole, which facilitates its ability to stand freely through a floor-to-ceiling tensioned shelf system. The shelves seamlessly intertwine with the poles, creating a unified structure within the modular system and a functional and striking visual presence. The Pira G2 shelving system offers limitless configurations to suit various spaces and needs.

This configuration consists of:

- 9 shelves

- 2 cabinets measuring 90 and 70 cm

- 1 x 90 cm organiser

- 2 bookends
