The Pyramid table, originally created by Wim Rietveld in the 1950s, is characterized by its lightness and strength.
The Pyramid table identifies itselfs by the construction of the cut sheet steel. Originally created by Wim Rietveld while working in Ahrend in the 1950s, he was relaunched for HAY with Ahrend. Considered a triumph when it was first launched in the 50s, with its innovative use of sheet steel giving it a new direction for use in organic form products. Today, both as a collection and as individual pieces, it is notable for its economical use of materials, its simplistic construction and to be light enough to move around. For several generations its design is manifested in its functional excellence and aesthetic lightness that have been demonstrated in real environments. This variation of the Pyramid table presents a thin sheet steel base with a rectangular oak top to create a functional and tidy expression. Its light quality, its clean aesthetics and its durability make it ideal for use as a conference or a dining table. Available in a variety of wood finishes and basic colors.
