The chair was created by the Taiwanese duo: Hung-Ming Chen and Chen-Yen Wei, also known as Afteroom. Working from their Stockholm-based design studio, their inspiration comes from an interest in forms, senses, proportions, materials and cultures. Thanks to a clear and solid aesthetic vision, they propose clear and functional solutions. The rounded details such as the seat and the flexible back, both in wood, contrast the solid steel structure "The Afteroom Chair is a tribute to the Bauhaus and functionalism: the simplicity of its design combined with the quality of the materials is important, we have embraced the challenge of designing something minimalist with clean lines, without compromising its comfort in any way." , says Hung-Ming.
