E27 was developed from the essence of the light bulb: the electrical socket, a simple and functional object that celebrates the beauty of the bulb's simplicity, enhanced by an equally simple and beautiful holder. E27 represents something both romantic and contemporary.

Mattias Ståhlbom is an internationally recognized architect and partner at the Stockholm-based architecture and design firm TAF. TAF's work makes ordinary everyday life a little less ordinary through their projects.

Mattias Ståhlbom's projects have been exhibited in museums such as MOMA NY and the Swedish National Museum in Stockholm.

About his projects, he says: “I like simple ideas, and I like finding solutions through simple methods and materials. Obvious things that seem ordinary become extraordinary.
