The Jet shelf is the result of designer Simon Legald's interplay of surfaces and manufacturing. The design draws inspiration from the aerodynamic construction of a fighter jet, creating a lightweight aluminum shelf with a spacious design and a clear, industrial silhouette. The architectural look of the Jet shelf is created by an asymmetry between the horizontal and vertical surfaces, creating an attractive platform for storage and display. The profile features small incisions that create the attractive grooved surface texture. The grooves also ensure that items placed on the shelf are less likely to slip.
